To-Do... first

Here is the layout of our house... roughly:

Agh! Our kitchen/dining is that closed off area on the bottom right. Obviously kitchens were not show pieces back in the 80's... seriously the only way to get into the kitchen is through a small closest-like door.. that has a lock on it. Not cool.

And also, please check out how many doors we have in this house! I think I also forgot to add 3, now that I am looking at it.

Sooo...

We made a list. I am a list girl – I LOVE lists… I have list apps, notebooks for lists, I calendar my lists, you name it I list it. Now, don’t the wrong impression – I am really not that organized. Funny how that works. When we walked through our empty house I started my (never-ending) list of things I want to do to the house. And I also made a list on all the current house materials I could use to make it all happen. I will share a re-capped, broad list.

Definite To-Dos:

• Get rid of heinous 1980 wall paper
• Tear up water warped flooring
• Pull out hot pink kitchen counter tops
• Texture all walls
• Paint all walls
• All fixtures need updating
• Tear down huge florescent box light – that takes up all of my kitchen ceiling..
• Open up kitchen to living room
• Redo/update sliding glass doors
• The yard… oh my it needs help!
• All furniture and décor! – I mean, come on, we just moved out of a 600 sq ft apartment as newlyweds. We have NOTHING. Time to get creative!

This was our initial list. Of course a bunch of small things have started to be added, but let’s just say we start here…now for the fun part - time to tackle this list! ... oh and did I mention - money doesn't grow on the trees in our neighborhood ;)
