Spring decor is here! I am embarrassed to even admit how long our winter decor was up because then no one will ever take my decor advice again. Except that I had a baby this winter. That kind of cancels out the whole off-season sitch(-uation). But it DID just stop snowing last week. So there's that...
I don't often buy new decor, I just rearrange, re-purpose, and update. I'll buy small things here or there, but I like to keep everything as functional as possible, since we are apartment dwellers again.
For my new table decor I found a ceramic bowl that was the wrong color and got chipped in the move. When ceramic chips, a bright chalky-white sticks out like a sore thumb. So, I spray painted the bowl white... to match the chip, of course. I pulled a few books (which I also painted), antlers, a vase of wine corks, a large tray (I tell all my engaged friends to register for lots of trays - they are the secret-sauce to great decorating!), and some fresh fruits and herbs to pull the "organic" look together.
I love how fresh it all looks. If I had the budget, I would have found a way to rotate through pale pink flowers and mint-colored greenery. But alas I'll stick with the bambi-and-wine leftovers (...too much?).
I'm obsessing over these right now (thanks to Pinterest) - I would love for them to make a debut onto my summer tablescape (I need to re-marry Ben, so we can re-register! Orrrr maybe I'll add them onto my next baby registry ;) I kid, I kid...).
Enjoy!
